1.Three strains of virus were isolated from infected foxes in three affected fox farms with the Madin and Darby dog kidney (MDCK) continuous cell line. The virus was identified as fox encephalitis virus(FEV) bosodl upon its electron-microscopic structure, physicochemical, biological and serological properties and structural proteins.
