1.(2)Injections of BDA into the n. ovoidalis and its shell areas (Ov shell) resulted in labeling of terminals within field L 1, L 3 and part L 2 of neostriatum and some labeled terminals extended into the peripheral zones of field L;
2.The afferent projections of the auditory areas of thalamus in ring dove (Streptopelia risoria) were studied by using anterograde phaseolus vulgaris leucoagglutinin(PHAL) injections, and retrograde and anterograde Biotinylated Dextran Amine (BDA) injections.
3.The results showed that: (1) Injection of BDA into n. ovoidalis of the ring dove produced mainly terminal labeling in the field L 2 of the auditory neostriatum;
4.(4)CB-HRP traces revealed that HVc projected to robust nucleus of the archistriatum, and atea X of lobus parolfactorius. HVc received projections from medial nucleus magnocellularis of the anterior neostriatum, nucleus interfacialis of midneostriatum, telencephalic auditory nucleus-field L, nucleus uvaeformis of the thalamus, and locus ceruleus of the pons.
5.Fellowship members will no longer hear a sound when entering Tale of Heroism effect area.
