4.Materials and Methods:10 cases(male 4 cases,female 6 cases;mean age 39.5 yrs)with HSV encephalitis certified by CSF PCR examination were imaged on MR system with 1.0T superconducted magnets using spin echo sequences for T1-weighted images,PDI,T2-weighted images and T1-weighted images after administration of Gd-DTPA in both axial and corornal planes.

10.Methods Carotid arteries MRI was performed in 16 elderly patients. DIR-T1WI,FSE-T2WI and 3D-TOF sequence were used in the MRI measurement for all patients.
