6.METHODS:Between January 2002 and April 2003, 120 cases of acute severe brain injury (Glasgow Coma Scale GCS≤8) hospitalized in the Department of Neurosurgery, First Affiliated Hospital, Chongqing Universtiy of Medical Sciences were monitored with digital EEG for an average of 5 days post injury. The average duration for monitoring was 5 days. The results of EEG power spectrum and patient outcomes were compared.
