4.On the basis of the data referred to, the additives as Nd2O3 , Al2TiO5 , Li2SiO3 ,ZiSiO3 , CeO are used in the study,while adding Li2SiO3 in MgO-Al2O3- SiO2 -ZrO2 system and GeO in MgO - Al2O3 - SiO2. As a result ,many performances of cordierite were improved by adding these compound additives.
5.The experiments showed that the amount of zircon, metakaolin, and CeO added and their proportion affected the whitening effect.
6.The corrosion resistance performances of natural white afrodite, electric cast quartz bricks, sintered alumina, electric cast AZS and sintered zircon in molten glasses for high-strength fiber drawing at high temperatures (1400~1500℃) have been studied.
7.A dense alumina and a chrome refractory had the lowerst melt-line corrosion rate in the iron phosphate melts,whereas the corrosion rate for silica,zircon,and alumina-zirconia-silica(AZS)refractories was somewhat high.
