.Water body is shallow and sediments are coarse in LST and HST, but in TST, being deep and fine.
.This year, the main stream of the Yangtze River, Dongting Lake and Poyang Lake witnessed the second highest water level after that of 1998 since 1954. At Jianli Hydrological Station, the highest water level was only 0.01m lower than in 1998.
.It is significant to detect the dam/dyke leakage and seepage in rock and soil, not only in theoretic but also in practical meaning, under the low-level-water condition in none flood season, for forecasting seepage deformation and seepage failure at high-water-level during flood season.
.Regarding the reinforcement as a engineering anti-seismic measure in the real dam, a numerical model is set up to simulate the reinforcement and the effects on the dam seismic resistance at two water levels are evaluated.
.Highstand Systems Tract(HST) which bottom is marked by the emergence of condensed sectionand top is a maximal flooding surfaceformed during the period from the ascent inflexion point(R)to the highest point(H) of lacustrine level change.
.In HST beneath the boundary have good interconnecting sand body, poor lateral sealing, and no oil shows; in LST and TST above it have delta distributary channel sand reservoir with serious heterogeneity and good lateral sealing, being oil layer.
.Sequence correlation shows Silurian transgression onlapped from northwest to southeast direction. The sandstonebody, developed in transgression system tract (TST), better reservoir are mainly located near the maximum marine flooding surface, i.e. thefavorable position for marine sandstone body development would be the upper part of TST and the lower part of high system tract (HST).
.We mainly achieve several views as follows:l)Establish the sedimential sequence framework of Permian formation in studying area and delimint the JiangJunmiao formation of Middle Dyas series as Lowstand System Tract, the lower of the second part to the third part of PingDiquan formation of Middle Dyas series as Transgressive System Tract, the upper of the second part to the first part of PingDiquan formation as Highstand System Tract.
