California Current
1.The spring SST in the Black Current area and California current area is negatively correlated with summer extreme precipitation in East China.
2.The Southern Oscillation and the equatorial Pacific SST anomaly are highly related to the North Pacific Oscillation ( NPO) or the Western Pacific (WP) anomaly pattern, but their relations to PNA and NAO anomaly patterns are weaker in comparison with the Northern Oscillation and SST anomalies of the Namias and California current regions.
