6.The impact of clay (halloysite) on growth of a red tide organism, Psuedonitzschiapungens f multiseries, and the production of domoic acid was studied in Bedford Institute ofOceanography, Canada, in January to July 1994. Based on the Gompeta equation of bacteria growth,a growth rate model of Psuedonitzschia pungens f multiseries was estabished and maximum growthrates of algal cells were obtained under various experimental conditions.
