Interosseous artery
1.It appeared between the supinator and the abductor pollicis longus and descended in the posterior compartment of the forearm between the superficial and deep layers of muscles. Its terminal branches curved anastomosed with the dorsal branch of anterior interosseous artery 2.5±0.5cm above styloid process of ulna. This anastomosis branch had its high occurrences(96.7%) and 7-12 cutaneous branches arose from posterior interosseous artery to supply blood for the skin of dorsal forearm.
2.But flap necrosis at the distal end, sized 2cm×3cm, was observed in one case, i n which the defect was repaired by delayed skin grafting, Conclusion The post erior forearm serial flap pedicled with the posterior interosseous artery and it s recurrent branch have the character of avoidance of sacrificing the major arte ries of the extremity, longer vascular pedicle, larger area and suitable thickne ss.
3.The ATA originated from the popliteal artery at an angle of 135. 5 ± 4. 0, and formed an angle of 122. 4 ± 9. 0 as it went through the interosseous foramen.
