6.In this paper the production methods of neodymium and neodymium-rich alloy were briefly reviewed, and the basic principle of winning Nd-Fe alloy by molten salt electrolysis with consumable iron cathode in NdCl_3-KCl melts as well as the selection of technological parameters of this process were discussed in detail.
7.Diode-laser-pumped Neodymium-Doped Yttrium Vanadate (Nd: YVO_4) lasers, benefiting broader absorption band than common solid gain materials, have one spherical predominance of non-sensitive to temperature for pumped efficiency, in spite of owning general advantages of diode-laser-pumped solid-state lasers (DPL): high power, compact, station, long life and whole solid. Such lasers have an important application tomorrow in pulsed laser range with high repetition frequency and laser marker.
