Palearctic realm
1.Among them the faunal components of 56 speices belong to the Oriental realm,15 species belong to the Palearctic realm,and 4 species are common.
2.Of all these components in the fauna,there are 9 species of Palearctic realm,6 dispersed species,and 1 species of Oriental realm,which accounts for 56.25%,37.5%,and 6.25% respectively of total amphibian and reptile animals in the region.
3.The resources of birds of Gaowangjie Nature Reserve in Hunan Province were investigated and evaluated in November of 2001 and August of 2002. 128 species belonging to 34 families and 14 orders were recorded. Among them, 73 belong to Oriental realm, 24 to Palearctic realm and 31 to Wide-ranging species.
4.The Palearctic Realm can be further subdivided into 4 regions_Northern Shaanxi sand and bottomland farming region, Northern Shaanxi loess plateau farming region, Weibei draught plateau wheat, oil, tobacco and fruit region, Guanzhong plain wheat, cotton, cole and vegetable region.
5.Based on the investigation made in 1997~2001, there are 32 amphibian species recorded in Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. From the regional faunistic analysis, among the 32 species, 3 species to Palearctic Realm, 29 to Oriental Realm and in which 10 to both South and Central China regions, 18 to Central China Region, only 1 to South China Region. It shows that the majority of the amphibian fauna of the Quanzhou are species of Central China Region.
