Pigeon paramyxovirus
1.Pigeon paramyxovirus 1(PPMV-I) disease is a heavy contagious,acute infectious disease which is the most serious desease in pigeons.
2.The virulence of 14 representative isolates of avian paramyxovirus type 1(APMV-1) of 7 different poultry species origins,including chicken, pigeon, goose, quail fowl, guinea, peacock and thrush,was evaluated by the classical pathogenicity tests, e.g.mean death time(MDT) and intracerebral pathogenicity index(ICPI) for Newcastle disease virus(NDV).
