ROM DOS
1.The paper has analyzed ways to realize bi-operating systems installation, to remedy the disadvantages of missing DOS by WindowXP system. Under the precondition of no CD-ROM drive and soft disk driver and failing to enter WindowXP system, the operator use the DOS system start the Ghost program to undertake computer maintenance operations.
2.By analyzing and researching the physical format, logic format, and ATAPI interface protocol of the CD-ROM/CD-R disc, we had designed disc drive performance test program based on DOS, implemented the demands to test the disc drivers fast, well and truly.
3.In this paper, it is described how to integrate rewritable optical disk drives with SCSI interface into environments using IBM PC compatible hardware and the MS-DOS operating system, and some guidelines of designs for SCCI host adapter hardware and its ROM BIOS and device driver are given.
