1.NEW RECORDS TO THE CHINESE AVIFAUNA, INCLUDING THOSE OF A FAMILY (PODARGIDAE) AND TWO GENERA
2.Among 55 species of breeding birds,38 species(69.1%) are Palaearctic ones,indicating that Palaearctic species is the major component in the avifauna.
3.The Aves species,type of avifauna, distribution,relative amount,rare species were investigated from 2001 to 2003. And 58 species were recorded,which belong to 13 orders and 33 families.
4.In the mainstream ares of the Qiantang River, including the Fuchun River and the Xinan River from 1981 to 1990, 206 species of birds were found, belonging to 17 orders and 41 families. Among them, the birds of the Palaearctic realm accounted for 51% of the total avifauna.
