5.On the basis of analysis on function requirements of BOF basic automation system for No 2 Steelmaking Plant of Xiangtan Iron and Steel Corporation, the structure and characters of system hardware and software composition are described. The emphasis is put upon the discussion on concept and method of hardware and software design for large scale automation system with EIC integration.
6.In this paper the production methods of neodymium and neodymium-rich alloy were briefly reviewed, and the basic principle of winning Nd-Fe alloy by molten salt electrolysis with consumable iron cathode in NdCl_3-KCl melts as well as the selection of technological parameters of this process were discussed in detail.
8.Formation mechanism of the internal stress arised from such factors as solidification, structure transformation, heat conduction, manufacturing process, inclusion and so on has been described, and it has been stated that controlling and relieving of the internal stress are the basic way to stabilize and improve upon quality of the grinding ball made of the high chromium white cast iron.
10.Specifically for the iron and steel industry during the past 15 years, Thermo Electron has installed over 100 mass spectrometers for gas analysis applications involving the following plants: coke ovens, blast furnace (BF), direct reduction iron (DRI), basic oxygen furnace (BOF), electric arc furnace (EAF), argon oxygen decarburization (AOD) furnace, vacuum oxygen decarburization VOD furnace and Ruhrstahl-Hausen (RH) furnace.
