2.The new development in the metamorphic fluid research of the Catalina Schist in south California and Monviso basic eclogite in western Alps is briefly introduced in this paper. Large scale fluid flow occurred predominantly at sub forearc depths(10—50 km). LILE,LREE and B rich fluids deriving from the subduction slab migrated upwards and metasomatism happened within overriding mantle wedge in large scale.
