4.The 2003 1)Taipei International Book Exhibition held at the 2)Taipei World Trade Center will introduce to Taiwanese readers a number of Czech writers, and will feature a special focus on the works of Vaclav Havel, president of the 3) Czech Republic, according to the organizers.
5.These will include the already well known cultural activities such as the Beijing New Year Concert, cultural activities for the Spring Festival, “Rendezvous in Beijing”, the May Flower Singing Contest, the Beijing International Television Week, the Beijing Book Fair, Beijing Square Cultural Activities, Beijing International Tourism Cultural Festival (including a folk art exhibition), and the Beijing International Music Festival. All these are to be further developed and renewed.
6.The last exhibition hall before you get out is a memorial hall, colorful quill-pens, book notes with a mark of the museum and numerous publications related with the nature and history are the best sellers.
7.The exhibition scope includes pre-press system, desktop publishing,press, digital printing, screen printing and book binding, packaging &paper process, etc. in addition, it also includes management, e-publishing, printing material and paper, etc.
8.There are five well-equipped exhibition halls, an international conference hall with audio-visual and simultaneous with constant temperature and humidity, a book archive, a public reading room, a painting room, a Meeting room, a painting gallery and a Haisu Bookstore.
9.All these were divided into separate collections of antiquities, library materials and historical documents and placed under teams of staff to sort and collate. Exhibition halls were opened to display some of the treasures, while writers and editors worked away at publishing in book or journal form all the new areas of research and academic inquiry that the establishment of the museum had ushered in. The Palace Museum was soon a hive of activity.
