2.UGRP1 exhibits an amino acid sequence similar to that seen in the uteroglobin/Clara cell secretory protein family of proteins. UGRP1 was highly expressed in the trachea, bronchus and bronchiole,and most of the UGRP1 positive cells are Clara cells. Since UGRP1 exhibits similar amino acid sequence and expression specificity as UG/CCSP, it is possible that there is a conection between the functions of UGRPl and UG/CCSP.
