7.The dam of the Dahuashui hydroelectric project is a RCC double curvature arch dam with gravity buttress on the left bank with a dam height of 134.50m. Due to the structural complexity of the arch dam and gravity buttress,the quality control of the construction work must be attached to great importance.
8.This paper briefly describes findings, obtained from the dynamic structure model test and finite element computation about the earthquake resistent behaviour of the Hunanzhen (Huna Town) trapezoidal buttress dan. On the bases of the dynamic characteristics and responses of a dam with a reservoir either empth or full, we present some views about the earthquake strength of the new type of dams.
