4.A bright electroless Ni-P coating was thus prepared by introducing brightener butyne-1,4-diol (coded as BOZ) of proper concentration in the optimized electroless Ni-P bath. The morphology and composition of the resulting bright electroless Ni-P coating were analyzed by means of scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction, while the action mechanism of the brightener was explored as well.
