8.In this paper, the horizontal conticast is investigated to produce wire blanks of 0.06~0.1% Ag-Cu alloy. After stretched for 12 times, the wire blanks of φ15 mm become small I-sections which prossess an oxygen content of 45 ppm, an electric conductivity (IACS)>97%, a Brinell hardness (H_B) of 103~107, a yield strength (σ_C)≥460 N/mm~2,a softening temperature>280℃ and an elevated temperature (290℃) strength of 27~28 N/mm~2.
