1.This paper analyzes the distributive rules of hard sectors for PC /XT,summarizes the sectors′ allocation of data realm,host self-running record, Dos self-running record,FAT and FDT in operating range for various Dos versi- ons of a same hard disc,and presents a mathematical relationship between logic and physical sectors,and variety of sectors. As a result,the method and ba- sis can be provided to directly read/write,process hard secotors′ information, and maintain hard disc.
