4.While struggling for the right to subsistence, the Chinese people have waged a heroic struggle for democratic rights.
5.China has made vigorous efforts to promote the building of democracy in grass-roots units in urban and rural areas to guarantee the democratic rights of the residents there.
6.To guarantee the people's democratic rights and other lawful rights and interests, China pays great attention to improving its legal system. 7.This shall include tasks such as determining the right number of the Nepali Army, preparing the democratic structure reflecting the national and inclusive character and training them as per the democratic principles and values of the human rights.

9.Even though since the end of World War II Western countries were drawn into the Korean War, the Vietnam War, wars in the Middle East (Afghanistan, Kuwait and Iraq as well as the Israel-Arab Conflict), on the whole they enjoyed peace at home, stable societies, economic prosperity, and a strong national power base, exemplifying the startling productivity of capitalism and showcasing the superiority of the Western democratic system (with individual freedoms and rights gaining corresponding respect and guarantees).
10.To be fully democratic, a state would have to provide: rights, liberties, and opportunities for effective participation; voting equality; the ability to acquire sufficient understanding of policies and their consequences; and the means by which the citizen body could maintain ade-quate control of the agenda of government policies and decisions.
