diffraction limit
1.A general method for designing diffraction lenses is presented. It is adoptable to the diffraction lenses with large relative aperture and arbitrary conjugate distance while the effect of the substrate thickness is taken into consideration. A lens thus designed was fabricated by a laser writing system and the diffraction limit quality was obtained.
2.It has been found that in the basic mode the sta-ble power output of TEM_(00) is 1.09 kW,the divergence angle is 0.5 m rad(whole angle),which is very close to the diffraction limit,and the electro-optic conversion efficiency is13.4%, As a transversc laser,the device is of low gas consumption and low cost.
3.As is usually the case, in the absence of multi-diffraction, the lower limit of the off-axis, angle of the mirror defined by themethod is better than the value given by Cary principle.
