1.This paper calculated total co ntact line length of worm pair by using the knowledge of the spatial-engaging- principle and numerical quadrature metheod, and put forward a concept of variati on coefficient of total contact line length, and found out the actual size of co ntact area of tooth surfaces.
2.Through the analysis on the theoretical manufacturing error of Archimedes spiral cam,and on the meshing error of different models of contact surface with a meshing mandrel and on the contact stress this paper found out a reasonable model for the contact surface with an engaging mandrel and presented the principle and recommendation value for determining the parameters of earn mechanism.
