epileptogenic
.A study on intracranial EEG monitoring for localizing epileptogenic zone
.Fourteen patients undertook temporal lobectomy plus hippocampectomy, 3 epileptogenic zone resection only, 2 temporal lobectomy only, 3 selective hippocampectomy, 6 epileptogenic zone resection plus multiple subpial transection, and 2 corpus callosotomy.
.The localization of epileptogenic foci of 5 patients by SPECT was consistent with that by ECoG.
.The rate of correspondance with ECoG was 72% in localization of epileptogenic foci by MEG.
.Results With the cortical EEG monitoring, 16 patients underwent surgical resection of the epileptogenic foci identified by intraoperative EEG, 7 had multiple subpial transection and 12 received stereotactic radiosurgery for the epileptogenic foci localized by PET. In most of the cases, the epileptogenic foci were located around the lesions of encephalomalacia.
.Study on Mechanism of Action of Vagus Nerve Stimulation and Epileptogenic Foci Irradiation by X-knife on Eplieptic Rats
.A comparative study on SPECT,BEAM,EEG and CT in the localization of epileptogenic focus with intractable epilepsy
.Before operation, epileptogenic focus was located with regional cerebral blood flow SPECT imaging and subdural strip electrode ECOG monitoring.
.Objective To analyze the effect of epileptogenic zone localization in the surgery for patients with intractable epilepsy.
.Conclusions:ECoG might be of importment value in the localization of epileptogenic foci in the operation of patients with brain tumour and secondary epilepsy.
