1.The twenty kinds of trace element content in Areca catechu is determined with a ICPAES method, The results show that the eleven kinds of essential trace element content in Semen Arecae produced from Guangzhou is similar to the semen Areca of importation, but the content of Ph and As in semens Areca produced from Guangzhou is lower. All trace element content in different position of Areca catechu has obvious difference.
