1.The thesis bases on the advanced methods of in-country and overseas in researching the dissolved inorganic carbon, particulate inorganic carbon in mixing zone. We adopted the method of observing consecutively by using ten ships, and described the TSS, DIC, PIC% of Huanghe estuary water in August and September, 2003, and described the PIC% of surface deposit matter in September, 2003 meticulously.
2.The sediments of the incised valleys show an upward-fining succession, and can be grouped into four sedimentary fades: gravel lag-deposit of in-channel to partly over bank sediments of a meandering river, flood plain-estuary, estuary-shallow marine, and estuary sand bar, based on lithology, paleontology, and sedimentary textures and structures.
