1.MSS of the Yellow River is composed of six model systems of soil erosion model in Loess Plateau, reservoir regulation model, water and silt evolution model for downstream Yellow River, estuary model, water quality prediction and warming model and ice flood prediction model in the Yellow River (Ningxia to Inner Mongolia).
5.A three-dimensional nonlinear baroclinic estuary and ocean model with primitive equation in o- coordination system is developed to study the impacts of the factors of runoff, the Taiwan Warm Current (TWC), the Huanghai Sea Cold Water Mass (HSCWM) and wind field on the expansion of Changjiang diluted water (CDW).
6.The 2-D tidal current and sediment mathematical model for Feiyunjiang estuary is established.After verification,the model is applied to calculate the change of current and back silting in the port area of Fenghuangshan Port with two different plans.Calculation results show that the recirculating region and back silting of Plan 2 are smaller than those of Plan 1.
10.By use of the morphological coefficients of estuarine riverbed and the relevant data of the north channel of the Yangtze River Estuary, the widening rate of the regulation line of the north deep-water channel of the Yangtze River Estuary is calculated, and the calculation result is in agreement with that of the fixed bed model test.
