1.In order to study how the cross winds in flat open country affect the aerodynamic characteristic of each EMU vehicle,experiment of EMU model composed of 3 vehicles is conducted in a 8 m×6 m wind tunnel,the author analyzes the data of the experiment,concluding that when the cross winds speed is in the range of 15 m/s～25 m/s,the EMU train set is stable laterally with running speed not higher than 300 km/h.
