7.Results Using both extraction methods,STR analysis failed,while clear mtDNA HVI sequences,which were consistent with respective reference mtDNA from saliva samples,were obtained from 6 samples in which DNA was extracted by method 1 and 7 samples in which DNA was extracted by method 2.Conclusion DNA extracted from feces using the established method is not suitable for STR analysis,whereas mtDNA sequencing can be successfully performed in forensic practice.
