1.UTILITY FORMULAS OF EQUIVALENT COMPRESSION MODULUS _(E_s) ̄- IN RANGE OF EFFECTIVE DEPTH IN FOUNDATION SETTLEMENT ANALYSIS
2.The comparison of observed and calculated foundation settlement of tall buildings constructed in Wangjing area of Beijing on clayey subsoil is presented. The different calculating methods are discussed, including layer-wise summation method and its improved ones based on local engineering experiences.
3.An approach arid practical formulas of the settlement of pile foundation in soft clay are presented based on the interaction analysis of pile-raft-soil system by using the method of the boundary integration for piles embedded in elastic half space. The total settlement, differential settlement and moment of pile raft foundation and the settlement of reducing-settlement pile foundation of a number of buildings in Shanghai are calculated as the examples of the application and show a good feasibility and easiness of the utilization.
4.Composite foundation with capped sparse pile to control settlement has been applied abroad in expressway roadbed, dam foundation, port project and airport runway.
6.The deformation characters of the surface settlement,vertical displacement and side displacement of composite foundation with sparse capped pile settlement control in the process of embankment filling have been analyzed by the Biot concretion FEM,at the same time,the change patterns of the generation and dissipation of excessive pore water pressure have also been analyzed.
7.2. The load-settlement calculation model of composite foundation with capped sparse pile to control settlement has been put forward on the base of the design load of expressway road, the mode of soil besides pile cap settlement calculation has also been put forward for the single pile with cap composite foundation. The results of the ordinary methods of composite foundation have been analyzed, and the results of it have been compared.
9.COMPARISON BETWEEN PROBABILITY PREDICTING AND ACTUAL MEASUREMENT OF SETTLEMENT OF TANK FOUNDATION
10.To have a further study of the new type soft subgrade reinforcing system of geocell reinforced gravel mattress and gravel pile composite foundation of its mechanism of load capacity and settlement development, three comparative model tests were designed and carried out under the direction of similarity theory and similarity criterions deduced through dimension analysis method.
