1.In the same year, the Tang court set up the Anxi Frontier Command in Gaochang. This was the first high-ranking military and administrative organ established by the Tang Dynasty in the Western Regions. Later, it was moved to Kuche, and its name was changed to the Grand Anxi Frontier Command.
2.By this time Germanic peoples occupied many parts of Europe, and were by no means identical in terms of culture or dress, but the figures in this set would seem to represent those peoples on the northern frontier with the Roman Empire ? the frontier that followed the Rhine and Danube rivers.
