1.2.The subacute senile mouse models induced by injection of D-galactose subcutaneously were used. The serum superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities ,the content of serum malondialdehyde (MDA),monoamine oxidase(MAO) activities and the content of monoamine neurotransmitters such as dopamine (DA), norepinephrine(NA), and 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) were measured to evaluate the anti-aging effect of AAP.
2.Method The rats were given subcutaneous injection of D galactose 60 mg/kg daily for 42 days to induce senescence and the contents of plasma malon dialdehyde (MDA),nitric oxide(NO)and the activities of plasma superoxide dismutase(SOD),glutathione peroxidase(GSH Px),nitric oxide synthase(NOS)and brain monoamine oxidase(MAO) were assayed in senile rats.
