1.Pseudostratified ciliated columnar epithelium with pale goblet cells. The different levels of nuclei are clearer here. Again, notice the wavy-looking cilia.
2.Pathological study demonstrated that airway epithelium goblet cells metaplasia, seenin the IAR, could result in mucin hypersecretion to form mucin clogs which caused severeairway obstruction and respiratory failure, which is a major life-threatening factor forasthma patients.
3.The area, perimeter, maximal length, minimal length of gland in the aforesaid group tissues were measured with Q500MC Image Analysis System (Leica). The cells number of glandular epithelium cells and goblet cells were also counted.
