high impact polystyrene
.The influences of extrusion conditions on the flow behaviour of general -purpose polystyrene (PS666) and high-impact polystyrene (PS470) were investigated with a capillary rheomcter.
.This paper introduced the usage of high cis - polybutadiene rubber UBEPOL15HB made by Thai Synthetic Rubber Co. Ltd. as modifier in producing high impact polystyrene (HIPS)492J in Polystyrene Plant in Chemical Works No.
.The rheological behaviors of polystyrene/styrene (PS/St), high impact polystyrene/styrene (HIPS/St) and polydimethyl siloxanes (PDMS)/cydohexane solutions were measured by HAAKE type rheometer D100/300 system.
.Since Ostromislensky applied the first patent on the toughening of Polystyrene in 1927 and Dow Chemical Company exploited the continuum producing technique of high impact polystyrene in 1952, it has been an important task to obtain polystyrene alloys with good integrate properties by modification.
.The tensile and dynamic properties of the blends for high impact polystyrene(HIPS)with styrene-butadiene-styrene copolymer (SBS),cis-polybutadiene rubber(PBR)and butadiene-stryene rubber(SBR) were studied in this paper.
.To improve the properties of high-impact polystyrene ( HIPS) , HIPS/nano-montmorillonite composites were prepared by mixing HIPS with different kinds and different amount of nano-montmorillonite at higher melting temperature. The mechanical properties, thermal stability and flame retardance of HIPS/nano-montmorillonite composites were investigated.
.The influence of nano -TiO2 content and ethylene -vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) content on the rheological property of nano-TiO2/high impact polystyrene (HIPS) composite was investigated. The surface quality and disperse of nano-TiO2 powder in nano-TiO2/HIPS composites were evaluated by atomic force microscope.
.The effect of die angle on the flow behaviour of high impact polystyrene (HIPS) melt was investigated by using a set of capillaries with different entry angles (2 α). The results showed that the flow of the melt basically obeyed the index law, the dependence of the apparent shear viscosity roughly accorded with the Arrhenius equation and the values changed with 2α .
