1.In view of the existing problems in the thyrister medium frequency power supply applied in the GW 0 5 t coreless induction furnace,the limitation of the inner and outer bridge starting circuit to suit the changing of load is analysed. The reformation to the thyristor medium frequency power supply with the precharge starting circuit and the trial operation results are summarized.
