8.Several effects on the maintenance of night-E region,such as geocoronal scatter,particle preciapitation,neutral winds and the jouleheating of the electrojet current,are discussed.
9.The increase of O + ion loss rate through chemical reaction due to Jouleheating and enhancement of ion temperature resulted from strong electric field played a crucial role in the auroral zone.
10.The results indicate that the jouleheating of copper rail is about 81.5 kJ occupying 20% of the energy that put into the railgun system. Such thermal energy can heat the surface of copper rail to about 260 ℃ which is much lower than the melting point of copper((1 083 ℃)).
