The microstructure of 35CrMnSi steel EBW joints on two kinds of thickness were studied, the results show that the microstructure of the EBW welds is coarse needle martensite and a small amount of residual austenite; the main structures of heat affected zones are lath-shaped martensite and a small amount of residual autenite; the microstructures of base metal are ferrite and pearlite.
