5.1, fruit weight and Brix values of Jinhua No. 4, which was bred by using four pairs of chromosome reciprocal translocation, were increased by 8.5% and 0.5%, respectively; seeds per fruit of it reduced over 70% and was only about 70. Otherwise, chromosome translocation caused male flower and stamen became smaller, as well as fruit flesh became firmer.
7.The EAG (Electroantennogram) response of female and male Helicoverpa armigera to a range of volatile components from flower was tested. The results show the components could provoke significant EAG responses of Hellicoverpa armigera. The strongest response was provoked by a mixture(30% of benzaldehyde,30% of benzyl ahcohol,and 40% of ethyl benzoate).
