1.A technique used by master-type devices to request, grant and acknowledge bus mastership. In its simplest form, it consists of:(a)asserting a bus mastership request;(b)receiving a grant that the bus is available at the end of the current cycle; and(c)acknowledging that mastership has been assumed.
