1.The human hippocampus cortex on 30 cases (60 sides) of fresh cadavers, aged from 6 months to 6 years were studied by HE and alkaline phosphatase staining and Chinese ink filling. The thickness of hippocampus cortex and vascular diameter in each cortical layer of various age groups were measurcd by ocular micrometer of optical microscope. The results showed that the thickness of hippocampus cortex and the vascular diameter increased with age.
