7.Studies were completed on the South-East Kowloon reclamation including the ex-airport site, future use of ex-military sites in Kowloon and the New Territories, shopping habits, Metroplan Review Stage I study, the propensity for office decentralisation and the formulation of an Office Land Development Strategy and the third review of the Port Development Strategy.
8.The review and check on the 17 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Military Corp that have completed the land conversion task in 2000 indicate that the approved rate of the areas of land conversion and afforestation in the waste mountains and land suitable for afforestation is 92.3% and 83.2% respectively.
