9.For analyzing the causes on degeneration of the black soil in corn belt,the authors made a pilot study of the clay mineral compositions and their distributions in the black soil of the corn belt of central Jilin,by applying the X-ray diffraction method. The results show that the clay mineral compositions are characterized by montmorillonite and illite with single crystal structure type 2∶1,the contents of the two clay minerals account for 90% in total.
