monsoon air
.The results show that before the summer monsoon onset, the air-sea heat exchange near Xisha area is weak, the vapor flux is small and the main trend is that the ocean is being heated; while after its onset, the air-sea heat exchange is balanced roughly.
.Less sea ice in the Greenland and Bering Seas together with more sea ice in the Sea of Okhotsk,the east of Barents Sea,Kara Sea and Hudson Bay during winter coincides with weaker Siberian high,Aleutian low and East Asian monsoon,stronger westerly in East Asia,and warmer air temperature in most part of China;
.Analysis and Comparison of Air-Sea Flux in the Northern South China Sea (SCS) During the Monsoon Onset in 2002
.CHARACTERISTICS OF THE AIR CURRENT AND SUB-SYNOPTIC SCALE EVENTS WITHIN A SUMMER MONSOON CYCLONE OVER THE ARABIAN SEA
.In order to study the variation characteristics of heat flux at Nansha and Xisha Islands in the South China Sea, the observational data from the ocean stations are calculated to obtain air-sea heat exchanges and the annual circulation of heat budget around the summer monsoon onset in 1998.
.For instance, the 100hPa subtropical westerlies jet shif-tes from north side of the plateau to its south. The air flows at the lower troposphere that converge toward the plateau are weakened remarkably, the"quasi-monsoon cell"at the lower troposphere to the south of the plateau is weakened and lower, and the shear-line to east side of the plateau moves southward.
