5.Results Treatment of mouse ear with LXA_4 exhibited a dose-dependent inhibitory effects on edema, neutrophil infiltration, vascular permeability, expressions of IL-8 protein and mRNA, NF-κB activity at 24 h and on dermal hyperplasia at 72 h following induction of the ear model induced by mezerein.
7.Rhizoma pinelliae 15g/kg and 5g/kg ig reduced the purgative effects of castor oil and senna in mice. They inhibited the increased vascular permeability induced by ip 0.7% acetic acid, xylene?induced swelling of mouse ear and carrageenin?induced swelling of mouse planta. Rhizoma pinelliae did not affect the gastrointestinal transport of Chinese ink in normal mice.
10.Our findings revealed a significant inhibition of Qing feng teng Decoction on the inflammation in the mouse ear caused by croton oil, and on the sole swelling caused by formcldehyde not only in the bilateral adrenoprival rat. It is suggested that Qing feng teng has an amti-inflanunation effect, with no close relationship between its anti-inflamrnation and adrenal gland system.
