1.Methods The animal model of cerebral ischemia was copied by middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO) method. The nerve dysfunction score, water content of brain, pathological changes, expressions of NF-κB, HSP70 and NOS were observed respectively 3 hours after cerebral ischemia and on the1st, 3rd, 6th and 12th day after the I/Rmodel establishment.
2.To study the protective effect of Naoluotong(NLT) on cerebral ischemia,the acute whole cerebroischemia?reperfusion rat model established by 4 occlusion vessels was used. The content of the cerebral tissue water,the regional cerebral blood flow(rCBF)and the nitric oxide(NO)content of brain and serum were observed.
3.METHOD:Cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury model was produced by 10 min occlusion of bilateral common carotid arteries followed by 5 d reperfusion in gerbils. The effects of EBF and alcoholic extract of Erigreon breviscapus on mortality,stroke index and calcium,sodium and water contents in gerbil brain cortex,as well as brain MDA content were observed.
