phlegmonous parotitis
.Acute phlegmonous gastritis in an infant
.C Class infectious diseases shall include pulmonary tuberculosis, schistosomiasis, filariasis, echinococcosis, leprosy, influenza, epidemic parotitis, rubella, tetanus neonatorum, acute hemorrhagic conjunctivitis and infectious diarrhea other than cholera, dysentery, typhoid and paratyphoid.
.Results There was a significant correlation between the prevalence of PHS and the pathologic subtypes of acute appendicitis,the positive PHS rates were 13( 2/15 ), 39( 18/46 ), 86( 12/14 ) for early, phlegmonous, and gangrenous appendicitis, respectively(r= 0.451 ,P< 0.001 );
.According to the smears from 100 cases of mumps and other 50 cases of bacteria parotitis and/or normal parotid as control, the author revealed that if there are a lot of ductal epithelial cells, monocytes and polynuclear phagocytes at same time, it could give diagnosis "Mumps" to that patient.
.The infection rate was 12.6%(13/103) in CFT group( 9 case of pnueumonia, 3 case of coloenteritis, 1 case of cholecystitis), 12.8%(14/109) in CFP group(7 case of pnueumonia, 5 case of coloenteritis, 1 parotitis, 1 periodontal abscess). There is no difference between the two groups (P>0.05).
