1.Abstract: The attention has focused on quantifying the capability of nondestructive testing (NDT) system for guaranteeing structural safety through damage tolerance analysis.A method of reliability assessment for engine blades NDT is presented,which can determine exactly the probability of flaw detection(POD)and assess the probability of flaws missed(POM)in the engine blades,as well as control the largest size of the flaws missed at inspections with high probability of flaw detection and confidence level.This method also raises the flaw detection probability and prevents the flight accidents caused by the missed flaws in engine blades.

9.Abstract: In order to provide the reasonable parameters in the reliability analysis of tunnel structure and the criterion in the quality control of tunnel engineering,in this paper,the over-under-excavated values of the real-state outline of tunnel excavation are obtained by the near-field photographic method.By using mathematical statistic method,the figure features and probability distributions of the over-under-excavated values of the surrounding rock,including deferent positions of same cross section,are analyzed.
10.On the basis of studying the characteristics of various uncertainty reasoning methods as well as the way of failure analysis knowledge representation, the algorithm of uncertainty reasoning and reliability of aided failure analysis are proposed in this paper. The classical probability based method is suitable for describing the strength of backward chaining rules, and certainty factor for describing the strength of forward chaining rules.
