3.The pyrolytic carbon samples were implanted by silver ions at the energy of 70 keV with the dose of 5× 1014 ,1 × 1016,1 × 1018ions/cm2. The results show that the cytotoxicity of Ag+-pyrolytic carbon is ranked at grade 0 or 1. Pyrolytic carbon with the dose of 5×1014,1×1016 ions/cm2 have hemolysis ratio less than 5% which can meet with the standard of medical materials.
7.RESULTS It required at least 10 8 CFU of S.epidermidis to cause the subcutaneous soft tissue infection of rabbits. But in the existence of Dacron, pyrolytic carbon, PTFE, the infection could be caused with 10 4 CFU, 10 6 CFU, 10 6 CFU of bacteria, respectively. The difference was significant(P<0.05).
8.Electrochemical behavior of Dawson-type P2W18O626- deposited on a glassy carbon electrode, Keggin-type SiMo12O404- and its derivative Dy (SiMo11O39 )213- deposited on a pyrolytic graphite electrode was described. All these modified electrodes displayed catalytic activity for nitrite reduction in acidic solutions and the catalytic current is linear to the square root of nitrite concentration.
